World Alzheimer’s Month

September is World Alzheimer’s Month, created by Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI) in 2012.

Alzheimer’s is the most common form of dementia and it affects the parts of the brain that control memory, thoughts, judgement, language and communication.

World Alzheimer’s Month allows us the opportunity to raise awareness and to educate ourselves and others. Let us take this time to encourage and support those living with this neurocognitive disorder.
