World Diabetes Day
World Diabetes Day (WDD) was created in 1991, by International Diabetes Federation and the World Health Organization in response to growing concerns about diabetes.
Diabetes is a chronic disease in which the body cannot produce enough insulin to control glucose levels. There are two kinds of diabetes, Type 1 requires daily administration with injection or pump; while type 2 can be managed by maintaining a good diet and in some people medication can be required. Diabetes is one of the most common diseases in the world., and 1 in 3 adults is found to be diabetic. Today we raise and spread awareness of the disease in hopes of a healthier future.
